Congressman Kagen Welcomes Joe Biden To Green Bay
(GREEN BAY, WI) Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. welcomed Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee Joe Biden to Wisconsin today. Kagen told the crowd of more than 1000 enthusiastic supporters at a town hall meeting in Green Bay that he is looking for a leader he can work with to build a better future for all of us.
“Working together, we will bring about the changes we need. We need trade policies that allow us to keep our jobs right here at home. We need affordable health care. We need a responsible end to the war in Iraq. We need a comprehensive national energy policy that moves us towards energy independence. We need leaders that are on our side - not on the side of Big Oil or the special interests. We will elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden and bring the changes we need to Washington and these United States,” said Kagen.
Senator Biden highlighted Senator Obama’s plan to stand up for hardworking Americans and revitalize our economy.
Wisconsin is a tremendously important battleground state - in both 2000 and 2004 it was decided by less than 1% of the vote. Some analysts believe that whoever wins Wisconsin will very likely win the White House. The Obama Campaign for Change is dedicated to winning in Wisconsin and has devoted the necessary resources to deliver a victory on Election Day including opening 32 offices statewide.
